Publishing guidelines
Career FAQs appreciates your contributions to the Jobs Forum and comments on career news and feature articles.
Career FAQs Pty Ltd (ABN 39 299 617 067) invites you to post comments in a number of areas of the website (Jobs Forum and news & views and career advice articles – referred to in this document as ‘Comments Areas’). You may also submit images and photographs or video files about career issues to Career FAQs. These, along with comments in Comments Areas, are referred to in this document as ‘your content’. When using the Comments Areas, you agree to be bound by the following Publishing Guidelines.
If you think that content that has been posted is offensive, unsuitable or has in some other way breached these Publishing Guidelines, please email us at publishing@careerfaqs.com.au with a link to the comment and your reasons for objecting to it. We'll consider whether there are grounds for editing or removing the comment and take appropriate action, but won't necessarily contact you with our decision.
Our rights
- These Publishing Guidelines are subject to change at the sole discretion of Career FAQs and may be changed at any time.
- These Publishing Guidelines do not have any impact on the terms and conditions of use that apply to any other aspects of the Career FAQs website or other services.
- Career FAQs will make the decision, at its discretion, whether to publish or remove from the Career FAQs website any of your content.
- You agree that Career FAQs may edit your content and use the edited version for its own use.
- You acknowledge that Career FAQs may use all intellectual property rights in your content throughout the world, in perpetuity, without restriction and without making payment to you, including publication of that material in printed publications or in electronic media; may use your content in advertising and promotional material for Career FAQs and may permit others to do any of the above, including when Career FAQs and others receive payment for this.
- Career FAQs will be under no liability to you in respect of any loss or damage, including resulting loss or damage, which may be incurred in respect of your supply of your content to Career FAQs.
- When you provide Career FAQs with your content, you agree that Career FAQs will collect certain personal information about you and that Career FAQs may contact you for other reasons relating to your use of our website or the content you have submitted.
Your obligations
- You certify that you own your content and all rights in relation to your content.
- You will not post on the Career FAQs Comments Areas content that is (or could reasonably be expected to be) obscene, offensive, pornographic, vulgar, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise illegal.
- You will not include obscene, offensive, pornographic, vulgar, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise illegal terms in your Jobs Forum username.
- You will not use the Comments Areas for the purpose of advertising, promoting or soliciting any goods or services, or otherwise engaging in trade or commerce.
- You certify that at the time you send it to Career FAQs, your content has no virus or other code or material embedded in it which may have a negative impact on Career FAQs’ website infrastructure and that the provision of your content to Career FAQs and its use by Career FAQs, does not breach any law or the rights of any person.
Governing law
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the state of New South Wales. The parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts exercising jurisdiction there.
