Freelance writer – 6-month contract with opportunity for permanency
Peace, Flowers & Tambourines is an online blog that covers the underground folk music scene in Tasmania. We are currently looking for two freelance writers to come on board and write content on a weekly basis on a 6-month contract with the opportunity for permanency.
You will have a strong command of the English language and have experience in writing for an online space. You will be required to source your own images and video and will have to arrange own transport to cover stories.
You will also need to be aware of what’s happening in the music scene, particularly in the underground folk music scene. Ideally you will have at least two years experience writing for print or online media.
The successful candidate will have:
The ability to write with flair
Excellent organisational skills
Great time management skills
Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems
Basic HTML knowledge
You can set your own working hours but you will be required to attend a monthly editorial meeting.
