Collinstown Ex-Servicemen’s Club is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified person to the role of Secretary Manager. The club has 30 poker machines, TAB and KENO facilities and two bowling greens, as well as a reputable Thai restaurant.
To be considered for this role you will be required to fulfil all of the regular duties of a Secretary Manager, as well as meet the challenges below:
Engage the local community
Build long-term business relationships
Take the lead in the business community
Recognise opportunities for regional activities
The successful candidate will possess sound business and operational skills acquired from previous experience in hotel management roles. You will be familiar with the requirements of a licensed venue, in particular those relating to compliance and legislative issues, along with general hotel management practices. These include:
Food and beverage
Marketing and promotions
Financial management and reporting
Reporting to and working with a Board
There is an expectation that the Secretary Manager will be customer-facing and take a hands-on role when required. The position itself offers diverse opportunities in planning and management, as well as other unique aspects specific to this club and the region.
The club is currently undertaking extensive works, including extensions to the smoking area as well as a BBQ entertainment area and covered walkway. To this effect, experience with development and planning is ideal.
