Re: SEM Manager position
I am writing to apply for the position of SEM Manager at Phusspot as advertised recently on SEEK.com.au.
I am a qualified and motivated SEM professional, with a Certificate IV in Marketing and several years’ experience in SEM in a retail environment. I am also currently undertaking a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) to further bolster my knowledge and skills.
I currently perform SEM/SEO services for leading clothing retailer Tundra.com.au, and the online bicycle store bikehead.com.au. In both of these roles, I am responsible for the planning and development of SEM strategies to optimise web traffic and business outcomes. This includes preparing and implementing SEM campaigns, conducting extensive keyword and competitor research, and using analysis tools such as Google Analytics to track site activity and performance.
During my time at Tundra and Bikehead, I have helped to increase online sales by over 35 and 30 per cent respectively, with both results achieved solely through SE marketing tactics. Both companies have benefited enormously from the increase not only in sales, but also brand awareness and community reach.
I have strong experience in managing SMM campaigns, leveraging networks like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Digg to bolster community engagement. I stay abreast of changes in the fast-moving world of SEO, SEM and online technologies, am a regular reader of quality SEM blogs, newsfeeds and forums, and have a solid grasp of HTML.
In addition to having strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail, I am also an outstanding networker and communicator, accustomed to presenting and reporting on marketing strategies to key stakeholders. I pride myself on my ability to approach problems laterally and enjoy working closely with others to find dynamic and tailored solutions.
I am highly driven to work with top brands and innovative companies and see this role at Phusspot as an exciting next step in my career. I look forward to being able to discuss the position with you further.
