About this course

The Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) offered online or on campus by the University of New England (UNE) provides you with the education and training to help you pursue a career in in accounting and/or finance.

This degree allows you to major solely in professional accounting, or both professional accounting and applied finance. You will gain the knowledge and technical skills needed to succeed in the accounting/finance field, as an accountant in private practice or in industry, commerce or the public sector.

This online accounting degree will give you the educational requirements for admission to the major professional accounting bodies (CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) by including relevant units in the program of study.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this course you must have an ATAR of 72.55. It is also recommended that you have knowledge of any two units of English and previous studies in mathematics.

Practical industry work experience

The Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) includes an elective Work Ready unit, which students can take to gain a strong mix of practical work experience and academic foundation.
