To undertake this qualification, individuals are required to meet the following criteria:
Have successfully completed Year 12; OR
Hold a senior role in the financial services industry or be a small business owner, contractor or service provider; AND
Have access to a financial services industry environment and a supervisor able to sign off on practical demonstration elements.
It is also recommended that students have undertaken lower level qualifications such as the Certificate III in Accounting (FNS30315) prior to starting this course. Given that some students may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, a recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment process may be available to students to recognise skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
