It is recommended that individuals have relevant industry experience to assist with the completion of this course. Work functions in the occupational areas where this qualification may be used are subject to regulatory requirements. Refer to the FNS Implementation Guide Companion Volume or the relevant regulator for specific guidance on requirements. To undertake this qualification, individuals are also required to:

  • have successfully completed Year 12
  • have access to a financial services environment and a supervisor able to sign off on practical demonstration elements

Given that some students may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, a recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment process may be available to students to recognise skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
