This Graduate Certificate in Taxation program offered through Open Universities Australia is designed for those seeking specialised, up-to-date and practical knowledge and training in current taxation practices and legislation.
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this program:
Have a Bachelor degree, or equivalent qualification in business, commerce or a related field from a recognise tertiary institution.
A high level of proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Open Universities courses are offered in specific study intakes every year, known as Study Periods or Sessions. This means more flexibility as you can choose when to start studying.
If you are studying undergraduate units you can start at the beginning of any of the four Study Periods each year, each lasting 13 weeks. Most postgraduate courses are offered in three Sessions per year, with each Session lasting 14 weeks.
Exams are usually held in the week following the end of each Study Period or Session.

Credit may be given to students who have successfully completed recognised professional body examinations, including the CA Program offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and the CPA Program offered by CPA Australia. Normally four units of credit are available for students who have completed either the CA Program or the CPA Program.
