Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in Accounting with the University of New England (UNE), you will satisfy the accreditation requirements of professional bodies and be able to undertake further professional studies in your chosen field of accounting.
The course offers introductory as well as advanced units in accounting, finance, systems, law auditing, economics and business statistics.
Your accounting qualification can lead to careers in government and private sector organisations as well as in the non-profit and community services sectors.
If plans change, and you can no longer commit to the full Graduate Diploma in Accounting, you could still be eligible to receive a postgraduate qualification. Depending on the credit points you've completed, you could exit with a Graduate Certificate in Accounting.
To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
All applicants are required to submit a 500-word personal statement detailing their professional achievements and experiences, their long-term career objectives, and where they see themselves five years from now.

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a nationally recognised Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of New England.
Graduates from this course will have met the requirement for eight units in accounting and finance needed to gain accreditation with the professional accounting bodies. This course can also provide an entry point to the Master of Professional Accounting.
Once you have gained associate membership with a professional accounting body, you can pursue professional studies with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia, or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) for full membership.

Eligible students can apply for FEE-HELP to cover the upfront costs of all or part of your fees. Alternatively, you can pay annually for the units you select to study in that year.
The University of New England also offers a number of scholarships to successful applicants.
This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
