This Master of Professional Accounting course is designed to help you refocus your career goals, gaining the skills and training necessary to become a professional accountant. If you have an undergraduate qualification in a different field and are keen to pursue an accounting career, this course is an ideal pathway.
You'll cover both introductory and advanced units in financial and management accounting, finance, tax and company law and auditing.
Available for both online and on-campus study via the University of New England (UNE), this course allows you to adapt your studies to suit your busy lifestyle.
If plans change, and you can no longer commit to the full Master of Professional Accounting, you could still be eligible to receive a postgraduate qualification.
Depending on the credit points you've completed, you could exit with the Graduate Certificate in Accounting or the Graduate Diploma in Accounting.

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a nationally recognised Master of Accounting from the University of New England.
Graduates of this course will meet the requirements for Associate membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), Certified Professional Accountants Australia (CPA Australia) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). They can then pursue full professional status with whichever organisation they choose.

Eligible students can apply for FEE-HELP to cover the upfront costs of all or part of your fees.
Alternatively, you can pay annually for the units you select to study in that year.
The University of New England also offers a number of scholarships to successful applicants.
This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
