The Master of Taxation offered through Open Universities Australia is an advanced program of study that will enable students to become highly specialised experts in taxation. The CPA recognised degree provides students with the advanced theoretical knowledge and skills required at this expertise level of taxation and opens various doors to further industry-elite qualifications. For instance, graduates who successfully complete the master's program will be eligible to progress directly to assessment for the Taxation Institute of Australia (TIA) Advanced Tax course, getting them one step closer to gaining Fellow Membership of the TIA. Graduates will also be eligible for two elective segment exemptions in the CPA Program.
Designed to be modular and flexible, the master's program also offers various exit points consistent with students' career aspirations and educational needs. Should students elect not to complete the entire Master of Taxation degree, they may complete an alternative program and exit with either a Postgraduate Diploma of Commerce (Taxation) or Graduate Certificate in Taxation.
To be eligible to enter this program, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in business, commerce or a related field.
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Master of Taxation from Curtin University.
This specialised program offered by Curtin University is primarily aimed at commerce graduates who are seeking further qualifications and/or continuing professional training and development and who are working as practitioners in public or private practices, taxation officers, corporate accountants requiring specialist taxation qualifications and members of the legal profession looking to expand their knowledge of taxation law.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
