About this unit

Taxation Law and Practice aims to develop an understanding and appreciation of the common law and statutory provisions concerning taxation in Australia.

Covering the Income Tax Assessment Acts of 1936 and 1997, as well as the Fringe Benefit Tax Assessment Act 1986 and the Goods and Services Tax Act 2000, this online unit provides a comprehensive overview of Australian taxation law in relation to income tax for individuals and other entities.

Providing you with the skills to critically evaluate and apply taxation law to solve accounting problems, this unit is offered for study by Open Universities Australia and RMIT University.
