Disease and its Control in Animals is a unit comprising eight modules that delves into animal halth and livestock production. The unit will educate you in the biology of disease processes and transmission and explores how this applies to livestock and Australian animals.
On completion of this unit, you will be able to understand, describe and recognise major health issues in a range of animals, from Australian wildlife to livestock. You will understand the effect of animal disease on both individual animals and their behaviour, as well as the economy and farming processes. You will develop an understanding and knowledge of good animal management in order to limit disease and maintain animal health, and finally you will be able to identify the best treatment for such animal diseases.
There are no prerequisites for this unit; anyone can apply.
