This unit, Integrated Buildings Research Studio, offered online by Open Universities Australia in conjunction with Curtin University, will give you the skills required to create a succession of outputs that describe (in writing, graphically and verbally) your designs from the Complex Buildings Research Studio unit.
Although this unit takes place online, the design work is staged within vocational working contexts such as workshops, on-site visits, and real-world projects. Once finished, the unit enables you to assess and utilise professional projects, reviewed by industry peers. This gives you the understanding needed to express design ideas and make references used for creative and bibliographical aims.
You will also be taught how to embody design skills and requirements necessary to this industry within a notional design setup. In addition to this, the unit enables you to progress and present a completed design, which describes theoretical ideas that conforms to standardised industry formats.
