An online undergraduate unit provided by Curtin University and Open Universities Australia, Interior Architecture Constructed Memory Studio allows you to apply your knowledge and technical skills to embrace the history and values attached to a heritage building. You will explore a range of design concepts and utilise relevant technology to develop adaptive re-use solutions that express the memory of a heritage interior.
On completion of this unit, you will have learned how to produce technically skilled, measured drawings demonstrating a foundational knowledge of the structure and materiality of a culturally significant building. You will also be able to apply the principles of design and heritage values to formulate a resolved system of technologies, and transform a functional brief into a sensitively resolved and integrated design insertion.
