About this unit

Urban Contexts is an online unit exploring the history and development of cities and townscapes, across a range of chronological and geographical contexts.

The unit will familiarise you with methodologies and theories in contemporary urban design and architecture, with a focus on how to address urban issues in a modern context.

Offering a sound knowledge base in urban architecture, this online unit is delivered through Open Universities Australia by Curtin University.

Eligibility

In order to enrol in this unit, you must be accepted into the following course:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science), Curtin University

Note: level 3 units normally assume a moderate level of prior knowledge in this area, e.g. from studying related level 1 and 2 units or other relevant experience.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
