About this unit

After completion of the online Academic Learning Skills unit from OUA and Murdoch University, students will have both the confidence and knowledge to successfully undertake a Bachelor of Arts.

You will learn the fundamentals of tertiary study including opening your mind to new concepts, asking questions, listening, intellectual risk-taking, tolerance, interpersonal skills curiosity and collaboration.

Students undertaking this unit have a distinct advantage in that they will be equipped to deliver clearer expression of ideas and written arguments, while also using coherent arguments to support critical analysis.

You will also be able to master the critical function of locating research materials both online and in the library; and correctly citing sources and references within essays.

You cannot enrol in this unit if you have successfully completed any of the following because they are considered academically equivalent:
