About this unit

The Art Project: Development unit offers students the opportunity to expand and develop their self-directed studio work. With a focus on the production of works for exhibition, the program helps the artist to contextualise their works. How will this unit advance my career?

The Art Project: Development course will help you better manage your studio practice as an artist. With a focus on management of a body of works from proposal to exhibition, the unit guides the artist through the work required for a final exhibition. This includes research strategies and the ability to place a body of works within the larger context of the arts as a whole.

This program offers essential skills for any practising artist, with studio management and documentation of processes a necessary part of any artistic career. It also offers the artist guidance in the preparation of an exhibition, from creating a proposal to creating the exhibition-ready works and other materials.
