Macquarie University’s Bachelor of Arts degree offered through Open Universities Australia gives you the opportunity to study units from a wide range of disciplines in the Social Sciences and Humanities.
This degree offers considerable flexibility, allowing students to construct programs and tailor their education and training to meet their individual needs and interests. Subject units in this Macquarie University program are based on online and computer-based learning and teaching. Internet access is therefore essential.
Anyone can apply
Open Universities courses are offered in specific study intakes every year, known as Study Periods or Sessions. This means more flexibility as you can choose when to start studying. If you are studying undergraduate units you can start at the beginning of any of the four Study Periods each year, each lasting 13 weeks.
Exams are usually held in the week following the end of each Study Period or Session.

This course is eligible for Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP), which includes HECS-HELP government financial assistance.
Alternatively, you may submit a general application, which allows you to select from a number of payment methods, including upfront payment, or deferring the cost of your studies with FEE-HELP.

This course can be paid for through the HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP government loan schemes. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
