Europe in the World, an online unit brought to you by Griffith University and Open University Australia, will help you to understand key patterns in world history – particularly between empires and their societies.
The unit traces back the original forms of globalisation and how they shaped modern empires. By the end of the unit you will have a good understanding of the context of empires and the similarities and differences between some of history's most prolific nations. You'll also be able to recognise the global implications of empires (particularly in Australia), and develop sustained and coherent arguments on these topics.
By the end of this Open University Australia unit, you will have a better understanding of the complex historical and social phenomena of empires and you will be able to make critical evaluations of history, and predictions for the future.
