About this unit

The unit, offered by Open Universities Australia through Charles Darwin University, is delivered entirely online for your convenience, and is designed to provide you with the basics of Indonesian culture and language. Indonesian 1A is designed for beginners with no experience of Indonesian and will offer the basics of the Indonesian language, focusing on key areas such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. The unit will allow you to write basic commands in Indonesian, have everyday conversations, ask and understand key terms, and teach basic grammar and reading of the language.

As well as immersing you in the language, the unit is also designed to inform you of the basics of Indonesian culture, to give you as much practical experience as possible.
