About this unit

This online unit, brought to you by Open Universities Australia and Griffith University aims to inform you of the importance of the work of Plato and Aristotle, and how their theories shaped not only ancient thought but modern society. The unit will give you an insight into ancient Greek worldviews both before and after the work of Plato and one of his most famous students.

The unit will highlight the difference in their schools of thought and how their theories have shaped one another. The unit will provide you with the roots of ancient thought and demonstrate how philosophy has shaped Western culture and aided our understanding of our modern world today.

You will not be able to enrol in this unit if you have completed this unit, or an academic equivalent, before.
