About this unit

Political Thought in Action is an online unit provided by Open Universities Australia in association with Macquarie University. The unit allows you to take an autonomous, self-directed learning approach towards studying a topic of political relevance in further detail. You will then present your thesis to academic experts in the field.

To begin with, you will explore the basics of proposing a research topic, and then how to develop this into a proper research project. You will then consider different research methods, before learning how to effectively write and structure a thesis.

Ultimately, Political Thought in Action empowers you with the skills to create an in-depth research project with a strong, coherent argument. You will then be able to use these abilities when creating research projects in a professional context.
