About this unit

As online unit provided by Curtin University and Open Universities Australia, Construction Planning and Scheduling explores techniques and methodologies that are currently being used in real-world construction projects. The unit takes you through the full process of planning and scheduling a construction project, with a specific focus on monitoring, controlling and interfacing with project information.

On completion of this unit, you will have developed the skills to talk in detail about a range of planning, programming and monitoring techniques used in projects. You will also be able to appraise and apply practical techniques in project management, and use computer technology to inter-link various forms of project data with planning and scheduling.

The unit is delivered through a range of methods including discussion forums, online tests, standard media and web links. Assessments take the form of an assignment, an invigilated exam and a test.
