Business and Economic Analysis, offered by Open Universities Australia and RMIT University, is an online postgraduate unit that will develop your ability to use, analyse and understand a wide range of economic data and theories.
By the end of the unit, you will be able to use these skills to make more informed business decisions. Over this 12 week unit, you will look into the external environments that impact businesses' performance, such as government policies and macroeconomic trends. You will also investigate possible strategies (for example, pricing and product differentiation) that you could implement in response to these varied external environments.
This unit is assessed through a group assignment (worth 50% of your final grade) and a group presentation (worth 25%), so you will have ample opportunity to polish your teamwork skills. The unit is also graded on a reflective task (worth 25% of the final mark).
In order to enrol in this unit, you must be accepted into one of the following courses:
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Master of International Business
It is also recommended that you complete the unit, Introduction to Business Management, or an academic equivalent, prior to enrolment.
