An online undergraduate unit provided by Swinburne University and Open Universities Australia, Industry Consulting Project provides students with an opportunity to apply the skills they have developed thus far, while engaging in a consulting project for an industry partner. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on a live problem-solving project set by a profit or not-for-profit enterprise, operating in either the public or private sector.
Your team will work under the guidance of a coach, and receive project-specific input from the industry client briefs. At the end of the project, you will be expected to deliver your findings and make appropriate recommendations via an oral presentation and written report.
This unit is designed to test your ability to apply business principles and knowledge to a real-world context and make problem-solving judgements by evaluating research and insight from a variety of sources. You will be expected to work collaboratively in a diverse group, while developing the intellectual independence to become a critical and reflective learner.
