About this unit

This online International Economics unit from Open Universities Australia and Curtin University provides students with an essential insight into the workings of international trade and investment, with a focus on theoretical frameworks and policy analysis.

Through discussion and a series of written tasks, students will learn about multilateral trade negotiations, bilateral trade frictions and other international trade policy developments.

This unit encourages students to apply relevant theoretical models to examine trade relations between countries; analyse strategies in different trading arrangements; and understand the rules and standards applied to trade relationships in environments where the impacts of cultural diversity must be acknowledged.
