About this unit

The Communications Project 1 unit, delivered online by Open Universities Australia and Griffith University, is designed to provide an intensive application of communication research, writing, production and presentation skills at an advanced or professional level in either a communications discipline area, a work experience internship and/or another chosen format.

You will explore complex issues with an awareness of the associated legal and ethical implications. Throughout the course of the unit, you will gain a broad understanding of key issues in media theory, and the place of new media theory – the basis of current communication practices. The Communications Project 1 unit will provide a professional foundation for those who wish to work in the creative and communication industries. ____

To be eligible to enrol, applicants must have successfully completed, or be currently enrolled in, the following units:

  • Introducing Communication Studies
  • Visual Culture

Applicants must also be accepted into the following course:

  • Master of Communication, Griffith University

Applicants must also ensure they have not completed a previous version of this unit.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
