Professional Research and Evaluation from RMIT University and Open Universities Australia aims to give you an overview of the importance of conducting good research, and the key skills and tools required to do so. The online unit explores the theories of research and the best way to develop targeted research questions.
As conducting research is vital to this unit, you will be taught the key ways to do so and the best methods for your individual projects. The unit will cover quantitative and qualitative methods, as well as touch on the importance of getting the basics right when researching. As well as this, the unit will demonstrate some of the issues that can arise when conducting research, and educate you on how to ensure your research is carried out ethically.
Learn how to plan your research with the aid of the theories covered early on in the unit, and to conduct your own comprehensive research project. The unit will also point out key literature to show you how to perform a literature review, allow you to combine these learnings with your own research findings.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
