About this unit

Griffith University’s Perspectives on Disability is a powerful unit that will give you first-hand accounts of living life with a disability, and encourage you to study with an open mind. Through these stories, you will draw conclusions about the experience of living with a disability domestically and internationally.

The unit, offered online by Open Universities Australia, will help you critically evaluate the disability rights movement as well as various non-fictional works that will help you improve your understanding of those living in such situations.

Reading these personal narratives will help inform your thoughts on the access those with disabilities have to education, housing, work, relationships and other aspects of everyday life.
