About this unit

In Curtin University’s online Animation and Special Effects Compositing unit you will learn how to bring together different visual elements into a moving video image. Special effects and animations are often used in advertising, movies, television, interactive web content and training simulation software, and this unit will familiarise you with industry standards and best practice.

You will learn techniques such as image tracking, blue screening, colour matching and other industry standard animation skills. These, combined with the teaching of storytelling, sound design, different visual styles and other animation techniques, come together in a rich and diverse unit.
