The Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching offered online or on campus by the University of New England (UNE) provides you with the education and training required to become a professional teacher.
Studying this double degree program, you will gain the skills and knowledge to be able to meet the challenges and requirements of working in education. You will be able to specialise in two curriculum areas, including drama, economics, English, modern history, modern languages and geography.
As a student of this course, you may be required to attend mandatory intensive schools for some units.
To gain entry into this course you will need an ATAR of 77.10–77.15.
The Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching includes a mandatory work experience placement to ensure that you graduate with a strong mix of practical work experience and academic foundation. The requirements of this course include 80 days of supervised professional work experience in approved schools of your choice.
All student teachers must also clear a Prohibited Employment Declaration and Probity Check.
In this combined arts/teaching program, you will study:
