About this unit

This online unit, Creating Accessible eLearning Environments, focuses on the creation of effective eLearning experiences through the use of digital technologies. By completing this unit you will learn to use a variety of software and hardware technologies in order to overcome obstacles and flaws of current eLearning platforms.

As a unit that is delivered by Open Universities Australia and awarded by the University of New England, the unit will train you in the principles of universal design for learning (UDL), and give you a greater understanding of why some eLearning environments may be inaccessible to a range of different users.

Throughout the unit you will learn how to identify barriers to eLearning, and break these barriers down through effective design. Such skills will enable you to help your students reach their academic potential, and may also be applied to business training scenarios.
