This unit focuses on the principles – and importance of – inclusion and how to apply them in learning environments.
After completing Curtin University’s Inclusive Education unit online through Open Universities Australia, you will be knowledgeable about the history, philosophy, benefits, processes, government policies, and research and theoretical foundations of inclusive education.
Current Australian and international policies and corresponding theoretical foundations and legal imperatives are reviewed with the aim of promoting your awareness of inclusive learning environments.
You will also be fully competent in supporting inclusive student/child participation and engagement in classroom activities.

This course can be paid for through the HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP government loan schemes. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
