Curtin University and OUA provide this online unit that will see you intern within a school environment to gain vital professional experience. You’ll spend six weeks being introduced to the school system where you will meet teachers, observe classes and become familiar with the school.
You will be then be required to plan and prepare a program for a 10-week placement that will commence the following semester, where your internship will progress into the classroom.
While undertaking the internship you will be taught to reflect on your experience within the school. Your reflections of teaching and your role within the school will be analysed in relation to theory to help build your understanding of good education practice.

This unit, as part of a Bachelor of Education, will provide you with the necessary professional experience to pursue a teaching career. You will be taught to create effective learning environments, maintain professional relationships and enforce positive classroom behaviour.
Complete this internship program with the tools to develop and maintain class programs and evaluate student progress. You will also gain valuable experience by meeting and learning from other teachers, colleagues, parents and students.
