Offered by Curtin University through Open Universities Australia, Science and Mathematics Teaching and Learning is an online unit that covers the practical, classroom-based implications of applying constructivist theory to science and mathematics education.
You will explore theories of learning and how to apply those to curricula, critically reflecting on teacher and learner understanding, and on the perspectives discussed during this unit.
This unit will see you implement and evaluate a constructivist learning approach to the teaching and learning of science and mathematics by ascertaining students' prior knowledge and implementing constructivist-based teaching/learning approaches.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
