Whilst studying Biological Chemistry online with RMIT University and Open Universities Australia, you will study the structures, properties and functions of different classes of cells and molecules found in living systems.
Proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and metabolisms will be examined, and you will also look at the way enzymes work and their roles in metabolism and kinetic properties.
You will also be required to attend five half-day practical laboratory sessions in Melbourne in this unit, where you will further develop and apply practical scientific research methods.
