About this unit

Study this online Energy Economics unit from Open Universities Australia and Murdoch University to gain an in-depth understanding of how economic theory can be applied to the energy sector. By doing so you will improve your understanding of key economic concepts such as cost-benefit, externalities and levelised cost, and learn about how these are relevant to the energy supply sector.

The unit will also examine matters such as taxation of the energy sector, open access to energy facilities, and the role played by public utilities regulators. Governmental impacts will also be discussed, including government-industry regulation.
