Delivered online by OUA in association with RMIT University, Corporate Finance is a postgraduate unit that will take you through the basic, foundational principles of financial decision making within the context of a corporate environment.
You will develop the basic structural framework required to make informed decisions and also discuss and examine the different theories of corporate finance, as well as the analytical techniques used to discern the value of assets.
Within this context, you will explore the integral relationship between financial decisions and investment options, with a strong focus on the valuation of bonds, stocks, capital budgeting, capital structure and portfolio diversification.

Once you have completed your online studies in this unit, you will be able to understanding basic financial tools and concepts, including opportunity cost of capital, the various factors affecting the valuation of stocks and bonds, the relationship between risk and return and capital budgeting and dividend policy.
You will have a firm understanding of financial issues and be able to apply modern financial theory to solve them, as well as having an understanding of the different underlying assumptions of financial models.
You will also be able to accurately evaluate securities and projects in accordance with basic valuation models.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
