About this unit

Students of this Finance Principles and Analysis unit from Curtin University and Open Universities Australia will gain a comprehensive understanding of corporate finance.

Students will first gain a solid understanding of the principles of finance, and then will learn how to apply this foundational knowledge to a variety of situations, such as the valuation of bonds and stocks.

After a broad understanding of the topic has been acquired, the unit will dive into the detail of corporate finance, showing students how corporations make investment decisions and how value can be created and destroyed through capital structure.

Finally, students will be taught the principles of risk management and how they can be applied to corporate investments.
