This online Financial Advisory Practice unit will teach you how to manage a financial planning practice and how to prepare, present, implement, and review a personal financial plan.
Offered by Open Universities Australia in partnership with RMIT University, the unit will teach you how to identify client objectives and needs whilst establishing a risk profile, and how to prepare a financial strategy based on these needs. In doing so, you will learn how to prepare a comprehensive financial plan that is appropriate for the client.
The second section of the unit deals with managing a financial practice firm. You will learn how to plan and establish a financial planning practice, and gain knowledge of the ethical and legal issues inherent in running the practice. The unit will also provide you with a full understanding of how to tackle the practical issues that come with running such a business.
The majority of your final grade will come from an assignment. This will give you the opportunity to demonstrate application of your expertise in constructing financial plans.
