Combining approaches from both social science and biomedical science, this Bachelor of Health Science (Community Health) course offers you a comprehensive understanding of health issues and their physical and social drivers in the community.
The course will help you work towards the promotion of health improvement in communities and for individuals by providing you with hands-on experience and deep theoretical knowledge. Encompassing elements of sociology, physiology and bioscience, this course is designed to enable those passionate about health promotion to gain specialist vocational training to a high degree of proficiency.

To be eligible to enrol in this course, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Have completed the NSW HSC with minimum average of 65 (calculated from the highest 10 units completed) or equivalent; OR
Hold a qualification from a recognised higher education provider; OR
Hold an associate diploma or higher from a recognised VET provider; OR
Have completed at least one year full-time or equivalent in a degree from an Australian university; OR
Satisfy entry requirements specified under formal articulation agreements as determined by the ACPE academic board

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
