Taking a scientific approach to movement, its function and implications on the health of the human body, this Bachelor of Health Science (Dance) offers a new perspective on dance as both a form of art and exercise.
Focusing on the physiology and biomechanics of choreography and dance styles, this course provides you with a deep understanding of the functions of the body and how best to condition it through exercise.
The course is ideally suited to those wishing to pursue a career in dance below the level of elite performer, and is offered on campus at ACPE.

To be eligible to enrol in this course, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Have completed the NSW HSC with minimum average of 65 (calculated from the highest 10 units completed) or equivalent; OR
Hold a qualification from a recognised higher education provider; OR
Hold an associate diploma or higher from a recognised VET provider; OR
Have completed at least one year full-time or equivalent in a degree from an Australian university; OR
Satisfy entry requirements specified under formal articulation agreements as determined by the ACPE academic board

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a nationally recognised, accredited Bachelor of Health Science (Dance) from the Australian College of Physical Education.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
