Sports Coaching Pedagogy is designed to promote reflection on and analysis of the various pedagogical approaches used in sports coaching. This unit will explore holistic approaches to coaching and the conception of the coach as teacher.
Different styles of teaching and learning are covered in this unit, with attention paid to assessing their appropriateness for different athlete cohorts, and how approaches to coaching will differ according to context.
Delivered online by Open Universities Australia and Griffith University, this unit will improve your ability to reflect critically on your own practice as a sports coach, and guide you to make better choices by analysing the options available and their suitability to the athlete’s needs.
