About this unit

This online unit, offered by Curtin University and Open Universities Australia, will give you a well-rounded understanding of how finances are managed within the health care sector. By looking at various financial tools, such as balance sheets and cash flow statements, and relevant theories, you will gain the skills necessary to make well-informed financial decisions with regards to healthcare institutions and programs.

As a postgraduate unit, Financial Management in Health aims to build on your existing knowledge of financial management and the field of healthcare. Financial Management in Health is assessed through two assignments (each worth 25% of the final grade) and an invigilated exam (50%).
