About this course

The Graduate Diploma in International Health program will encourage students to develop an understanding of the socio-cultural and biological aspects of health. In this sense, you will achieve the following outcomes:

  • Develop a knowledge base of contemporary issues in international health.
  • Develop an understanding of current and future international health practices in international health.


You are required to have previous education in the form of a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution or substantial professional experience and training in the health industry. International students will also need an IELTS score of 6.5.

The International Health program focuses on current knowledge and practice in international health. In this course, you will examine international health and will acquire an education and develop your skills in planning, management and delivery of appropriate health programs in an international context. As a student completing the certificate you will have the option of admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in International Health or the Master of International Health offered directly through Curtin University of Technology.

You may be eligible to receive FEE-HELP for this course!

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
