Health Services Management, delivered online by Open Universities Australia, offers students a range of highly applicable knowledge and skills. By completing the unit, you will gain an understanding of the unique environment in which a health services manager operates, and the distinctive challenges that accompany this unique setting.
You will become aware of the skills required of each aspect of the health services manager’s role, and be able to reflect on whether you are effectively expressing these attributes. You will also be capable of evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of a variety of approaches to the various aspects of a health services manager’s job.
Moreover, you will gain an understanding of strategic management, as well as leading others towards innovation and change. Upon completion of the unit you will also understand the design of work, and will be able to assess the pros and cons of various approaches to work design and the design of health care organisations.

Complete the unit with the skillset necessary to recommend effective management strategies, to act as a leader, and to effectively manage change in a healthcare setting.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
