About this course

The Master of Health Management from the University of New England (UNE) is offered online in full- or part-time modes to facilitate flexibility around work, life and study.

You will come to better understand the Australian healthcare system - its organisations, the regulatory and policy framework - and how this interacts with and impacts healthcare workers and those in their care. You will also develop a global perspective, using an analytical and evaluative approach. You will learn best-practice management principles as they apply to people and other resources, and inform your own performance. You will emerge as a contemporary leader in the healthcare field of your choice.

Note: students who complete the quality management specialisation of the course may be awarded the Master of Health Management (Quality Management).

Eligibility

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant health discipline from a recognised education provider; OR
  • Hold a degree AND a graduate certificate or graduate diploma, both in a relevant health discipline, from a recognised education provider; OR
  • Hold a graduate certificate or graduate diploma in a relevant health discipline from a recognised education provider; OR
  • Hold a degree in a different discipline from a recognised education provider; OR
  • Hold a graduate certificate or graduate diploma in a different discipline from a recognised education provider; OR
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant health or management discipline (international students).

You may be eligible for advanced standing if your previous education and experience meet certain criteria.

Eligible students can apply for FEE-HELP to cover the upfront costs of all or part of your fees.

Alternatively, you can pay annually for the units you select to study in that year.

You may be eligible to receive FEE-HELP for this course!

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
