The Diploma of Hospitality (SIT50313) program offered through SEEK Learning is designed both for hospitality professionals seeking more senior roles and individuals looking to enter the industry. Developed in consultation with industry experts and delivered by William Blue College of Hospitality Management, this course provides core training in a wide range of hospitality competencies, from food safety and hospitality marketing to business communication skills and hospitality law.
This comprehensive course is quality assured by the international accreditation body Tourism and Hospitality Education International Centre of Excellence (THE-ICE). Work placement partners include several prestigious hotel chains including Club Med, Shangri-La, Mercure and Sheraton.
This course requires students to complete 36 service periods within a hospitality environment. Students are welcome to use their existing work placement to complete this subject, providing the placement meets the requirements of the subject.
Alternatively, William Blue's Career Management Team can help students to secure a work placement.
To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be able to provide a copy of your High School Certificate or equivalent (year 12); OR
Successfully complete a Language Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) test.

This course can be paid for through the VET FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
