The Advanced Human Resource Development unit allows you to apply adult learning theories and frameworks to a range of individual, group and organisational development needs. This allows you to build professional HR skills and develop the tools to meet a number of common workplace challenges.
Delivered online by Open Universities Australia in partnership with Griffith University, you will study a range of learning and development processes, strategies, plans and costing frameworks, and apply them to contemporary HR cases. The unit asks you to consider the role of HR professionals in areas such as feedback and communication, development of skills in training and facilitation processes and strategic HRD.
You will also learn how to analyse a range of organisational experiences from a HR learning and development perspective, and apply your learning to developing managerial skills. By the end of the unit you will be expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the HR landscape, from theoretical frameworks to research findings and reflective insights.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
